Objectives
The quiz aims to:
- Increase the knowledge and understanding of the Economic Survey and Union Budget among students.
- Gain a better understanding of macro-economic indicators, fiscal policy and the government's policies.
- Critically evaluate the effectiveness of the economic policies and their impact on different sectors.
- Encourage the spirit of research and analytical skills by asking participants to read and analyse economic information.
- Bridge theory with practice by applying economic theories to real life policies.
- Introduce participants to fundamental financial terms such as fiscal policy, taxation, subsidies and government spending.
- Create awareness on how much is being allocated to different sectors for instance health, education and infrastructure.
- Support students who are preparing for exams such as UPSC, RBI Grade B, UGC-NET, SSC and other related finance and economics streams.
- Enhance the economic decision-making process and the use of data in the decision -making process.
- Make the learning process more exciting and engaging and create interest in public finance and economic governance.
Organizer
The quiz is organized by IndiastatQuiz, a vertical of Datanet India Pvt. Ltd.
Eligibility
- Open to all undergraduate and above enrolled students/scholars in India.
- Participants must have a valid College/Institution ID and an active email address.
Participation Fee
- Free of cost; no registration or participation fee is required.

The quiz will cover the following topics:
Registration Details
- Registration will be open from February 23, 2025, to March 31, 2025.
- Participants must provide:
- Full name
- Email ID
- Mobile number
- Course Studying
- Name of College/Institution
- Address and any other required information
- College/Institution ID
- One email ID per participant – duplicate registrations using the same email will not be allowed.
- Confirmation, including username and password, will be sent via email.
Quiz Schedule & Format
- Date: Sunday, April 6, 2025
- Time Window: Participants can take the quiz anytime between 8 AM to 8 PM.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Question Format: 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with one correct answer per question.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deduction for each incorrect answer.
- Tie-breaker: If multiple participants score the same, the one who completes the quiz in the least amount of time will be ranked higher.
- Language: The questions will be in English and Hindi languages.
- Quiz Access: The quiz will be conducted exclusively on the official website through desktop, laptop or mobile.
Rules & Instructions
- The quiz will begin once the participant clicks the “Start Quiz” button.
- Do not refresh the page or leave the quiz window while attempting the quiz.
- Only one attempt per participant is allowed.
Results & Evaluation
- The quiz results will be published on the official website on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11 AM.
- Participation Certificate & Scorecard: Participants can auto-download their digital participation certificate and marks upon completion.
- Top 20 scorers qualify for the Virtual Finale.
- College/Institution having the highest participation will be awarded with a trophy, subject to having minimum registration of twenty students/scholars.
Final Round (Virtual Finale)
- Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025
- Mode: Virtual (details to be communicated to finalists)
- Top 3 performers will be awarded prizes.
- Prizes will be sent through courier or by hand to the winners within one fortnight.
Disqualification & Compliance
- Any misconduct, unfair practice, or violation of quiz rules will lead to disqualification.
- The organizer’s decision will be final and binding.
- Employees of Datanet India Pvt. Ltd. and their relatives are not eligible to participate.
- Organizers reserve the right to modify, cancel, or reschedule the quiz due to unforeseen circumstances.
